As we welcome in 2014, we are also welcoming in the new styles and trends that will be popular when wedding planning throughout this coming year. Colors and flowers are going to be the most important aspects of this year. When it comes to colors, solids and chevron are out. This year, the hot styles will be unusual prints and interesting geometric shapes. Also, don’t be afraid to mix and match patterns in order to fit into your specific theme. Although there are colors that are going to be popular this year, such as Radiant Orchid, Placid Blue, Violet Tulip, and Hemlock; there is no true in color. What will be more popular are accents. Gray and Mint Green will be especially popular accent colors in the coming year. Nevertheless, when it comes to beach weddings you can’t go wrong with tropical colors.

As with color, accents in general are going to be very popular in 2014. For wedding dresses, lace is going to be huge. It allows an elegant look that keeps you covered, yet sophisticated. More and more brides are also choosing colored wedding dresses instead of the traditional white. Even if you don’t want to jump this far into the fashion deep end, adding accents of colors to the different aspects of your wedding will surely create a look that will be sure to make a lasting impression on your guests.


At last the big topic: wedding flowers. The big flowers of 2014 are peonies. The best way to present them is to surround them with accent flowers like roses or hydrangeas. The look is simple, yet graceful and will look nice with the vintage decorations throughout your wedding. Tulips are also going to be very popular this year. Pink and Peach colored flowers are going to be the most popular in wedding bouquets as it looks nice with the gray and mint green accent colors. On the other hand, if you want a sharper contrast in color try a dark floral arrangement. The difference in color gives a sophisticated, old-world look to your wedding. Lastly, hair embellishments that use flowers are going to be the most in piece to 2014 weddings. Pieces such as flower crowns are going to be very popular with brides throughout the year. From the wedding ceremony to the wedding reception, flowers are going to be the most important part of 2014 so make sure you get the right ones to make your wedding perfect.
